HR leaders are frequently 'in the know' of organizational plans, leadership misbehavior and others bits of information that may / will challenge their personal values. When our personal values are challenged or are in conflict with organizational values, stress that is life impacting can and will occur. If the HR leader is conscious and deliberate about understanding their personal values, they will be better prepared for when this challenges occur and will be in a better position to determine how to address their psychological, emotional or physical reaction to the situation.
Kathleen is business consultant with experience in global human resource management at the executive level in technology, financial services, and consumer products companies. She has 20 plus years’ experience as an HR executive in publicly-owned, private-equity owned and closely-held private corporations. She has earned several professional certifications including SPHR, DDI, MBTI, FIRO-B, The Forte’ Institute and delivering 360s from the Center for Creative Leadership.
Kathleen graduated from UNC Greensboro with a BA in Communications and an MBA. She is a former army officer and spent 10 years on active duty in the Signal Corps. She has served on non-profit boards including the YMCA, United Way, Friends of the NC Zoo and the NC Purple Heart Foundation.
She is an avid outdoors person and enjoys hiking, rock-climbing, SUP and nature photography. She is a PADI certified SCUBA diver. She is football fan and devoted to the Carolina Panthers and Wake Forest Demon Deacons. As an leader she believes that you should treat people the way you want to be treated.
